My uncle Alex Rozos, my mother's older brother, as a
Lieutenant in the US Army, in Chicago just after returning to the
US after World War II where he served in France and Germany. My brother
Pepin and I lived with him when going to high school. "Tito"
passed away in 1990. He was a superlative guy. |

My uncle Alex is the US officer in the middle, in front
of Notre Dame de Paris, March 1945. I learned a lot of history from
him, particularly world war II from the perspective of a young American
soldier. |

July 1991 with Vicky at Cecilienhof Hotel in Potsdam,
where the Potsdam Conference took place 17 July-2 August 1945. We
stayed in the room used by Secretary of State Jimmy Byrnes, and
once by Chancellor Willy Brandt.
