38 years ago, hiking around Bear Mountain, New York
State, north of Manhattan, not too far from West Point, overlooking
the Hudson river, 1967, when I had just gotten matriculated at Harvard

30 years later, still learning how to air cider by pouring
it into a glass. Just watch the "chorro" miss the glass
-- pity indeed, since Asturian sidra is really good, and the sidrerias
are such fun to visit. Waiters tend to pour cider over their shoulders
and without looking - sometimes splashing the tourists in San Vicente
de la Barquera on the Cantabric coast |
